Premise一词常用词意为“前提”，即A premise is something that you suppose is true and that you use as a basis for developing an idea。但在法律英语中，凡涉及到“房屋”一词的翻译时，则多使用“premises”。

Prejudice最常见的用法就是作名词用，意为“偏见”，比如文学著作《傲慢与偏见》就是Pride and Prejudice。但是在法律英语中，prejudice的意思则是“损及他人的利益”，常用词组为without prejudice to，可译成“不使...合法权利等受到损害；不侵害...的合法权利；无害于...；不影响...”。
